His Excellency Mohamed AUAJJAR
Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Morocco to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland

His Excellency Mr. Mohamed AUAJJAR was born on 18th March 1959 in Targuist (Al Hoceima Province) . He is married and has three children.


  • Bachelor Degree in Political Sciences, Mohamed 1st University - Oujda.

  • Professional Training in the field of Press and Information in the USA, France , Portugal and Egypt.


  • 24 mai 2011: Member of the High Council of Audiovisual Communication;

  • 1998-2002: Minister of Human Rights Government of Abderhmane EL Youssoufi;

  • 2002-2004: Minister of Human Rights Government of Driss Jettou;

  • 1998-2004: Member of Consultative Council of Human Rights CCHR;

  • 2002-2007: Member of Parliament (Rabat constituency);

  • President of the Network of National Institutions for Human Rights in the Francophone space.

  • Head Moroccan delegation in several international conference and events.

  • Chairman of several international election observation missions (Mali, Egypt, Guinea , Togo , Mauritania, Comoros ... ).

  • Member of the Board Think Tank "Council of Arab and International Relations based in Kuwait".

  • Member of the political bureau of RNI.

  • Member of several international NGO.

  • Fondateur of Moroccan organization of Human Rights.

  • Editor and Managing Director of the daily " Al Watani Al Mithaq " " Attajamouaa " and the weekly " Al Jadid Achourouq ".

  • Deputy Secretary General of the National Union of the Moroccan Press.

  • Founder and Vice President of the Club of the Moroccan Press.

  • Author of several studies and articles relating to Human Rights and Democracy in the Information.
